Manager - Dawn Mason-Windsor
"I joined QPS in 2009 and became Manager in 2011. I have over 25 years experience working in childcare. I am the SENCO and am always happy to chat to parents if they have any concerns over behaviour, child development or anything else at all. I am also one of the designated safeguarding leads and I am responsible for all health & safety issues. I hold my Paediatric first aid. I love to just play with the children but I also like to work 1-1 on more adult-led activities, supporting children with fine motor skills, mathematics, gross motor and their social development."
Deputy Manager - Linda Swift
"I am the Deputy Manager at QPS, I am also the Safeguarding Lead and Assistant SENCO within the pre-school . I hold my Paediatric first aid. I work within both pre-school and Breakfast/Afterschool Club, and have been at the setting since 1995. I enjoy all aspects of my work but especially the creative side. I live locally with my family, out of work I enjoy cycling and the occasional karaoke night."
Pre-school & Breakfast/Afterschool Club Supervisory - Heather Trifunovic
"I am one of the Pre School Supervisors, I am trained in first aid and I am one of the Safeguarding leads. I qualified in 2008 but have worked here since 2007. I took this career move as the youngest of my three children started school. At pre-school I enjoy watching our children develop and progress. I particularly enjoy books and helping the children to bring them alive with some two-way interaction. I regularly cover lunches so encourage the children to eat and develop their table manners. Personally I like keeping fit, including yoga, running and walking my dog, Frankie, as well as spending time with my family."
Breakfast/Afterschool Club Supervisor - Julie Wood
"I have worked at QPS for over 13 years and I am NVQ level 3 qualified. I enjoy doing breakfast and having a chat with the older children but I am happy and experienced to cover other roles from craft, stories and group time. I hold my Paediatric first aid. I am married with two grown up children. I am also a Scout leader so I do many camps all over the country, I do a lot of walking and enjoy being outdoors. I also enjoy going to the theatre and going to a pub quiz."
Pre-School Supervisor - Katherine Taylor
"I began working at QPS in 2009. Having had my own family and deciding to return to work, I decided to change my career and began training as a Pre-School Assistant. I completed my CACHE NVQ Level 3 whilst volunteering at QPS. I hold my Paediatric first aid. My own children attended QPS and they loved it! I love all aspects of my job but in particular I enjoy reading stories and singing with the children. I also love bringing new and exciting activities for the children to experience – it’s lovely seeing their faces light up with excitement. In my own time, I enjoy walking my dog, running and gardening."
Pre-school Teaching Assistant - Emma Draper
"I have been working for QPS for almost two years. Before this I did a change diploma level 3 and worked in a private nursery for a year before having time off to have my own family. I am pediatric first aid trained and love to do messy play with the children the most as it’s lots of fun and brilliant to see the reactions from children when it comes to trying new textures/activities."
Pre-school Teaching Assistant - Katy Dence
"I have worked with children for 15 years from working in private day nurseries to working within Children’s Services as a Family Support Worker. I have a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare & Education & Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching & Learning in Schools (QCF). My favourite part of working at pre-school is having the little conversations with the children about their lives & how they see things. Their imaginations are amazing & hearing them talk about all the special people in their lives is lovely. I also love seeing their friendships develop."
